One of the best write-ups I've seen on Kering. Great work! 👍

I've been thinking about the value of luxury goods in a world characterized by increasing geopolitical tensions, potenially speading over to Asia (China, Taiwan..)

Any thoughts on that ?

Thank you very much for the kind words; I'm delighted!

Your question about the impact of geopolitical tensions on the luxury goods market is indeed very important, but also complex. Most major luxury brands have limited or no direct production in China or Taiwan, but they are often dependent on materials sourced there, such as high-quality fabrics. This could lead to supply chain challenges, especially for certain products.

Even more significant, however, is the impact on Chinese consumers and tourists, who are among the luxury goods industry's most important customers. Depending on the potential sanctions, the impact could be severe, as restrictions on travel or economic activity would directly affect the consumption of luxury goods.
